A little about us.

Claire Rothrock and Ryann Weir are Brooklyn-based writer/performers. Their latest pilot, THE DARLINGS, was developed at FX with Chernin Entertainment producing. Prior to that, their pilot CLOISTER F*CKED aka OUR LADIES OF BROOKLYN was developed and made at The CW, with CBSTVS and Sutton St. producing, Jennie Snyder Urman showrunning, and Tessa Blake directing.

They’ve developed work with Leslye Headland, Katie Couric, Connie Britton, Sarah Jessica Parker's Pretty Matches Productions, Madica Productions, Fake Empire, Paramount+, and The CW. Claire and Ryann were 2018 Sundance New Voices Fellows and in 2019 they were Sundance Episodic Fellows.

Outside of tv, they co-created the web series BASIC WITCH (Amazon Prime/JASH), as well as the musical, THE UNDERTOW, commissioned by their alma-mater (NYU). Their original play, I HEARD SEX NOISES was produced by Ars Nova Theater (co-written with Andrew Farmer, developed with director, Annie Tippe).

Claire received her MFA in acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Ryann is a proud alumni of the Obie-winning group EST/Youngblood. They have both served as adjunct faculty members at NYU’s Playwrights Horizons Theater School.
